star wars

I am almosr certain it will be disappointing. All the special fx in the world cant compensate for a weak story.

I think the same. Feels like this movie is done by lawyers, sales and marketing people (Disney) to optimise the money flow, not by the folks who really wish to make a good movie.

It's like all the good things. When things become mainstream, those became blended and often quite boring.

We'll see. I'm not currently planning to see it on the theatre.

The reviews coming now from friends are mixed.

Star Wars The Force Awakens has gone thought the same transformation as the Bond movies did.

Changing from fun and excitement to politically correct story.

Interesting to see how the three original stars in the new movie have aged.

Mark Hamill has aged badly, shockingly so. I think Star Wars killed his career.

Carrie Fisher's face has been the victim of extensive plastic surgery. She looks nothing like Princess Leia anymore.

Only Harrison Ford has grown old gracefully.

What about Chewy,he still looks ok.

No way can it match the original three.

I remember seeing Star Wars for the first time in the seventies. The special effects were so far ahead of anything that had gone before.

These new films just don't have that advantage.

I'm with you KB, the spaceship going overhead opener with the surround sound, man that was the bomb.

Much later I saw an episode where they had a computer generated animation character Jar Jar and the movie was quite lame.

Lets hope this one gets back to some roots.

There was a feeding frenzy in Central this morning...queues of people trying to buy tickets...

Thats a stretch.

10.45am session wasnt even half full.

Yes there was a few eager beavers but booked the tickets online and got a sofa just 15 mins before showtime.

Queue was about 50 people long at a guess and all seats for evening shows booked out within 30 mins of opening.

Who wants to go to the cinema at 10.45am...lol

Late morning, early afternoon show is the best way to go. Cheaper seats and just about the whole place to yourself IMHO.

Who wants to sit next to some geek dressed like a storm trooper?

We saw it this morning at Junk a long, and really enjoyed it. Worth a watch.

We parked below and while at the movie someone side swiped my carefully parked car. Raise your hand if you think they left an apology note with contact and insurance info.

Good way to avoid this is to not park next to toyotas

Less chance of this happening. As toyota is the commoner's car(and crap), you have most idiots buying it. Avoiding toyota is avoiding most idiots.

I think that unfortunately you're serious about this and not joking.
