Junta may lift ban on meetings

THE NATION

BANGKOK: -- THE JUNTA is considering allowing political parties to resume hold meetings but the lifting of the ban will not happen immediately, said Deputy PM General Prawit Wongsuwan.

The Democrat Party this month asked the National Council for Peace and Order to scrap its order banning political parties from holding activities so they can solve internal problems.

Prawit said the parties would not have to wait too long to see the ban lifted. "But all parties must be treated the same. And it all depends on the PM's decision," he said.

Prawit, who is also defence minister, denied he was considering setting up a political party, saying he and other junta members had no desire to be in politics. "[it's] just a rumour. I have neither [the desire] in my mind nor [do] the PM and NCPO members. We don't want power," he said.

He said he wanted to work to return democracy and felt very tired.

"Prawit, the defence minister, denied he was considering setting up a political party, saying he and other junta members had no desire to be in politics."

... but Phutep is ... and if they really don't want power, let's return to the status quo which existed prior to May 2014 ... without, of course, the political statements by the then army chief.

Good news.
Good for the social climate.
But please without the criminals, convicts and corrupt.
Be strong in this detail!

Listen to the problems of people and find good solutions.

"he and other junta members had no desire to be in politics."

Great News! Since you all are doing such an abysmal job, start packing.

Today.

Meetings for Bangkok and Southern based parties only...

Everyone else will have to wait until election day !!

This would clearly be a step in the right direction, let's hope that the government feel secure enough to allow it, in the near future. wai2.gif

Note to self: don't be naive about the intentions of the Junta.

Yes political parties can maybe not positively start meetings but will there be a military moderator sitting in the corner?. You must submit all doctrine to be discussed to him.

Quote He said he wanted to work to return democracy and felt very tired. unquote. Its very simple call an election problem solved. Sounds like he needs some quality vitamins. Unfortunately foreign vitamins are now banned by customs. Yes these tirades can tucker one out. He needs a quality holiday. Any suggestions? Is that German bunker open for tours? Sorry I must run now I am in the middle of reading Mein Kampf.

Wow, I thought it already was lifted...you just need to hold your meeting outside that big building on Wireless Rd, you know the one with the fancy murals on the walls!

People so complicate things, get yourself some badly written placards and a monk or two and whats political????
