How to get from Nakhon Phanom airport to the central bus terminal in the town?

Featured Replies

Hello, everyone!

Is it true that it's possible to get from the Nakhon Phanom airport to the central bus terminal in the town itself by a shared van? Or only by taxi? How much the shared van (if it exists) and the taxi cost?

Please share your information if you know anything on the topic. I would really appreciate it.wai2.gif

Why so surprised? THis is the common method in about any local airport-only since AA came they have those vans. Even ChMai lacks citybuses and certainly to airport. Also STATE final destination-its not said at all that NP has a central konsong nor that your bus/van would leave from there. Van-driver will know best place to board next vehicle too-thats his/her job too. Which about anyone ever been to provincial TH will have learnt so no need to ask/fuss about that.

Live in NP, only taxi service, phone 080-9037222, ring and book beforehand so taxi waiting for you, cost around 300 baht with tip. Not sure of English for call centre as my partner books. Service is reliance and of high service as we have never had any problems.

Yes, there is a van service. As you exit the area where the conveyor belt is, you will see a desk directly in front of you, the leftmost desk. You can buy a ticket there for the van for 100 baht. You tell the van driver where you need to go.

For a van, you'll have to go into town and catch one, exactly where, I'm not sure. The desk at the airport that I mentioned before can arrange a car with a driver to take you to Mukdahan. And, you do know that Nok Air has a flight and van service for Mukdahan, as well? You take a flight and get into their van at the airport, included with your ticket.

Thanks! I booked the ticket fron BKK to NP, not realizing I could have booked it all the way to Mukdahan.

I prefer a taxi-type service though, any guess how much it would cost?

My pleasure. Unfortunately, I haven't done that run so I'm not aware of the costs. There are some taxis parked in the parking lot at the airport on occasion, as well. I guess the best thing to do would be to compare prices at the desk and with the taxis.
