December 18, 201510 yr Two Vietnamese boats with 11 crews captured KOH KRA: Two Vietnamese fishing boats with 11 crew members were seized by a Royal Thai Navy’s vessel for illegal fishing in the Thai waters. The two fishing boats were found fishing for sea cucumbers near Koh Kra off Nakhon Si Thammarant which is regarded as Thai waters. Naval officers boarded the vessels and asked the skippers for fishing documents but they were unable to present. The boats were seized and then forced to head for the naval station in Songkhla.All the 11 crew members were detained pending their prosecution on illegal fishing charges.Since November 20 last year, ten Vietnamese fishing boats have been seized by the RTN for illegal fishing in Thai territorial waters.
