Arrived at Gate 1 of departure level at 6:30 am.

Clogged up 3 rows of car deep parked or waiting or letteing passengers off.

Waved hands to TG porters waiting with trolleys who fought their way to grab my sitcases out of the car and in the termnal.

They tale care of the bags, you sit down on sofa chairs while the check-in process is completed.

then escorted through dedicated immigration after having paid the 500 baht tax.

Down one floor walk behind C class lounge to the more relaxed F class area.

Wi-Fi working, much less food than at Don Muang but plentry fo drinks and service is very attentive. Toilets are luxuriuous but not easy to find and are not in abondance.

Informed by attendant of flight boarding and escorted out of lounge shown way to gate as there are no public announcements for departures nor are there any Tv screens with flight info in the lounge.

A very pleasant experience

Let's see how it works returning saturday evening....

I do not know, did not see one. Don't think there was one in Don Muang in any of the F lounges either.

As I do not smoke I might have missed it

Hi,

Here we go, my arrival experience in TG F saturday evening.

Landed at 22:40, at gate bridge at 22:48

It must be one of the furthest gates in the complex (E9)

TG staff with names on board meeting F passengers

Separated into transit and Bangkok bound

Electric cart right up to immigration booth reserved for fast track Diplomats, wheelchairs and TG F.

TG porters waiting (1 for each F passenger) escorted to carousel, picked up bags (showing up around 23:15) and out into the crowd after customs.

Asn it was my second arrival I did not gte surprised ta the crowd but I think it is not worse than it was at Don Muang.

Porter wheeled the cart and waitied with me at exit 4 for my van transport to the Novotel (a 3 minutes ride)

On the long cart ride from the gate to immigration, I saw quite a few toilets, smoking rooms and arrival duty free shops....Did not go into the toilets but there was no queues visible.

'normal' immigration booths were only 10 waiting deep so much better that Don Muang at that time of the night. Pleanty of carts near the carousels.

Very user friendly

Will report on my departure experience in F but with SQ sunday night

I believe I saw someplace where someone said there is a smoking area inside the F lounge, but I can't be certain of it as I can't find now where I read that. They are currently working to install a smoking area in the C lounge and according to one of the TG attendants said it should be ready in a couple of weeks.

Departure Sunday 15 October on SQ in F

Arrived at airport departure level door 5.

A big chaos as usual with cars, etc. parked or generaly clogging up the curbside 3 rows deep.

How on earth do the other airports (Narita, Sydney, Singapore, even Jakarta) manage to have a e asy off loading of passengers near the curbside.....

No indication outside of what airlines are located near what exit (I knew where to get off as I checked on SQ's website) so as the terminal is veeeeery long it may mean a long walk if you don't une the nearest door.

As there is no more security check for luggage anybody and everybody can walk about and clog up the check-in areas and desks.

Pleaty of carts, push my bags to row K of check-in desks (reserved for SQ). Nobody in queue, served without a smile but efficient. Told one bag was overzided so told to bring it to the over size bag counter located near the TMB exchange booth.

Saw one toilet only in that part of the terminal with a long queue even for the men's.

TG ticketing is just behind row H check-in desks.

2 exchange counters (TMB and SCB) near entrance to immigration.

500 tax booth (no machines) then into the immigration area. 10 deep queue but moving quickly.

Then down a slippery marble floor to the duty free area.

Walked side way between the shops to the entrance of the TG lounge escalators which brings you one floor down to the lounge itself.

C class full to the brim with passengers unable to sit or move much let alone drink or eat.....

F class section very quiet, pleaty of attendants to serve.

Told that flight was 'probably' boarding 'now' ask why he was not sure, said that as they now have holding gates, it means they 'pre-board' meaning before you enter the holding lounge they take your boarding pass. There is apparently no way for TG staff in te lounge to know at waht moment or of they already openend the gates to the bridge to the aircraft as they used to before.

The holding area is dark and cold but plenty of seats and toilets in working order although only 2 x 2 for the men's side. The door to the handicapped toilet would not lock....

You are stopped to exit the holding area by a white plastic tape between 2 poles

Actual boarding was only 5 minutes away and I am back home after a great SQ flight.
