PM: Army needs to manage budgets carefully

BANGKOK, 25 December 2015 (NNT) - Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has emphasized that the army should manage its budgets carefully and be ready for inspection.

The PM on Thursday presided over the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of a new convention center of the Royal Thai army. He said he used the knowledge he had gained from the army to administer the country and he would do whatever he could for the army. Gen.Prayut added the army worked for the people and supported the government’s works.

The PM also stressed that although the government was not elected by the people, it took care of all 70 million people in the country. He confirmed the government supported democracy and elections and called on all sides to work together in solving the country’s problems.

Strange way of "working for the people" : Staging a coup and voiding their votes........................coffee1.gif

BTW the cost of the new convention center for the army is only 2.2 billion baht, IMO those money were spent better on education or healthcare!!

So what if the budget not manage carefully. Who dare ask and for what if the army keep their budget opaque.

"He confirmed the government supported democracy and elections"

As a democratic soldier, Prayut then is a man without a country.

And now an additional 5 million for chest medals/medallions/hat brass for newly appointed generals

to show their service, for 25 to 40 years combat duty in DOWNTOWN BANGKOK !

I do not believe his word at all. If any political disputes arise his Army control will defend him right or wrong. The Army will be well taken care of! Protect the ones that protect you no matter what it takes! No brainier!
