toryboy1979
Can anyone in Chiang Mai please tell me where I would go to register and to claim the savings tax already deducted by the bank. I have the appropriate form from the bank but have no idea where the office is. I live in Sansai (Meechoke) Many thanks
chiang mai
In Chiang Mai the tax reclaim office is located across the river from Rajavej Hospital/Holiday Inn. Cross the bridge from the Hospital (East side of the river) side and turn first left at the intersection, the tax office is on the right about 100 metres from the bridge, it's set back and high up from the road. BTW you will need the tax witholding certificates from your bank which are available after 1 January each year. toryboy1979
Thank you for that. I already have the appropriate certificate given to me by the Bangkok Bank because the savings term came to and end in November and I chose not to re-invest. chiang mai
Thank you for that. I already have the appropriate certificate given to me by the Bangkok Bank because the savings term came to and end in November and I chose not to re-invest. But the refund is on a tax year basis hence, if the tax was paid this tax year it cannot be reclaimed until after January 1, the start of the next tax year. toryboy1979
Went to tax office as instructions unfortunately they told me 'wrong office, you live Sansai, must go Sansai office'. To the question 'can you please tell me location of Sansai tax office'. Answer came there none apart from a shrug of the shoulders and a shaking of the head from side to side. So I am none the wiser. Help anyone please.
chiang mai
Interesting that the Chiang Mai office wouldn't help, that;s quite odd. The tax office for Mae Rim is at City Hall, in that cluster of government Amphur offices on the Chiang Mai/Mae Rim road, not far from the seven hundred year stadium, maybe try there? I'll be kinda suprised if Sansai has its own tax office but maybe others know?
Pib
Doing some googling I keep coming up with a Highway 1001 location right next to the San Sai Police dept...the Personal Tax section may be in the Excise Tax building shown in the image below....right across the road from the San Sai Police Station. See below links where one includes a phone number...give them a jingle to ask where they are located: http://www.rd.go.th/publish/38209.0.html http://www.zodio.com/th/business/direction/105630511 https://www.google.co.th/maps/@18.8482932,99.0439802,3a,90y,266.8h,87t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s10W1qeOvzwWG0CZbTULwWw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

toryboy1979
For anyone in San Sai who wants reclaim tax from their investments with Banks for term investments the tax reclaim office is located right next to the San Sai Police Station. Enter the building and immediately turn right and go to the end office. Very helpful staff there who will help you with all the documentation.
