rubl
My own children (and their Dad !) always enjoy visiting the show at the airbase in Chiang Mai every year. When I was a draftee in the Netherlands army oh so long ago my younger brothers really liked the opportunity to crawl around during the 'open day' when family and others could come and have a look. Stray
So this assumes there are no children out in the boonies that might like to see a tank? I guess it is just "Bangkok first, screw the rest of the country" mentality at work here. Kids in the boonies, on the Cambodian border, get to see military vehicles every day of the week. It's not so bad that, once a year, the city kids can get to see them, too.
