Visa Run

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Do you know about Visa Run very well ?

I would like know that in detail. I have a tourist visa with single entry.

So can I do visa run ? Does Visa run accept for any nationality ?

If so, what country should I go ? What is your suggestions ?

regards,

NERD

Before your tourist visa expires, go to Thai immigration and extend it for 30 more days. After that, if you dont wanna travel to another Thai embassy abroad to apply for another visa, then you have to start doing visa runs. Now, due to the new rule, the free visa exempt stamp you will get when you do the visa run is still good for 30 days, but you are only alowed to spend a total of 90 days in every 180 days in Thailand on that stamp.

So, before your tourist visa expires, extend it for 30 days at immigration, then do 3 visa runs giving you a 30 day stamp each time, so 30+30+30 = 90 days plus your origional 30 day extension gives you 120 more days to save some money to go and apply for another tourist visa at an embassy.

What nationality are you?

Normal practice is that only nationals from the 40 countries which are visa exempted can come on a VisaRun.

Other nationalities need a valid Re-entry or any Multiple Entry Visa.
