90 Day report when leaving after 92 days

Featured Replies

Only serious answers, please. I return to Canada on 21 January. My 90 days report date is 2 days before my flight. Do I have to make the report or can I leave without any trouble at the airport for not reporting after 90 days?

  • You do not need to report as the report is only due if you stay in the country 90 days.

You can leave and will have no problem at the airport.

Thank you for replying, but please reread my question. I stated that my flight leaves two (2) days after my 90 days are up, not before. (Thus, I would be in the country for 92 days.) So, can I fly without reporting for my 90 days report or will there be a problem at the airport.

Sorry I misread your question.

  • If you are leaving on day 92 then you should make a report. You can report within 15 days before the due date.
  • Immigration at passport control have no interest in missed/late 90 day reports so you will have no problem whatsoever even if you don't report.
  • If you are leaving Thailand for good then it will make no difference whether or not you report.
  • If you plan to return, it is possible that when you report in the future that the IO could fine you 2,000 baht for missing this report.

I did exactly this last year. I didn't report (actually we - my wife and I) and just threw out the reporting slips. As it happened I didn't realise the error until I had already left, but no problems arose from it. Considering how quick and easy reporting is these days I would recommend reporting.

You are in the country for more than 90 days so you have to report.

Why create problems?
