I see the Chinese having a lot of accidents. Rental shops must be profiting from insurance AND what they can get out of the renter, otherwise, it doesn't make much sense to rent to them, as they are h*ll on wheels and everyone knows it.

They are generally easy to spot, so I avoid them if possible and am always scanning the road looking for them.

Used to be I was worried about the Thai speed demons, now I worry about the Chinese and long for the days when only Thais terrorized the roads.

If I had to drive around the city I'd buy an old truck with bull bars on the front and do the decent thing.
