Two drug-trafficking suspects yesterday told Phnom Penh Municipal Court that police accused one of them due to mistaken identity and forced a confession from the other.

Keu Bunlay, 25, was arrested on December 2, 2014, while driving with a small plastic bag of drugs.

According to his confession, Bunlay said he knew a prisoner named Mab, who told him to bring the bag of drugs to another man in exchange for $100.

But Bunlay yesterday told the court that police extracted the confession from him by forcing him to thumbprint the confession document.
