The Times predicts that petrol will soon be cheaper than water and Chartered bank predicts than crude might drop as low as $10 per barrel.

Whilst this might be good news for anyone not employed in the oil and gas industry the consequence of North Sea oil going the way of whale oil will bring on a swell of bankruptcies and unemployment will sky rocket in the European oil capital .
