Iran: Saudi Arabia is 'panicking,' the 2 countries can coexist
By Mick Krever, CNN

(CNN)Iran's foreign minister says Saudi Arabia is "panicking" over the potential for reduced tensions between Tehran and the West, that he is happy for the families of Americans previously imprisoned in Iran, and that the U.S. is "addicted" to sanctions.

"We do not have a fight to pick with Saudi Arabia," Javad Zarif told CNN's Christiane Amanpour in an exclusive TV interview.

"We believe that Iran and Saudi Arabia can be two important players who can accommodate each other, who can complement each other, in the region."

How could we ever deal with these people

Ah yes, the Persians who got wiped out by the Islamics then became Iran. Warning, lack of historical knowledge alert!!!

I dont know alot about the Saudi people. I have only met a few, and they have been very unimpressive. On the other hand, I have known quite a few Persians, and most have been kind, smart, sophisticated, successful, well educated, and quite impressive. I despise the Saudi government and rulers. I do not like the Iranian government either, but I think anything the Iranians can do to irritate the Saudis, provide them discomfort, and perhaps force some change or less repression in that hellhole, is a good thing.

I think Saudi has enough on its plate trying to keep the genie in the bottle at the moment.

Conflating the Persian people with the Iranian theocracy is either convenient or dangerous. Theocrats may be Persians but it does not follow that Persians think the same as the mullahs.

When Iran officially says the "2 [sic] countries can coexist," Iran is lying. Iran has zero intention of coexisting and the Saudis know this. The only idiots who do not realize this are the Western sycophants salivating in Persian laps.

If any person thinks the Iranian theocracy wants to "co-exist" with the usurpers to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Servant of the Two Noble Sanctuaries, and Protector of the Two Holy Cities they are delusional. In order for Iran to agree to simple co-existence with Saudi Arabia they most first overcome their betrayal to the shiite faith. The entire division of the house of islam is predicated upon those in current possession of these two mosques and cities as being usurpers. No, the entire Iranian shia theocracy is predicated upon not accepting the sunni perspective, especially Saudi Arabia.

This is more good cop bad cop standard diplomatic playbook rubbish. This is Iran providing its servant, the US, with diplomatic fodder to further destabilize Saudi Arabia. You can always tell the diplomatic telegraphing by the content.

If only people could brighten up.
