Taxi driver escapes death in single vehicle crash

PHUKET: -- A taxi driver narrowly escaped death early this morning after he crashed his taxi into a power pole in Thalang.

Ong-art Kamruang, 32, 'lost control' of his vehicle near the entrance to Bang Kanoon Forest, in the northbound lanes of Thepkrasattri Road, confirmed Lt Col Sanit Nukong of the Thalang Police.

“Witnesses stated that Mr Ong-art was driving too fast when the accident occurred,” said Col Sanit.

No.....didn't take out innocents...... he didn't even manage to take out the pole.......I guess he wasn't trying too hard then!!!

Hope the accident is held against him when he goes to find a new job, driving. Let him be the clean up boy for the other drivers who are accident free and drive according to conditions and on the defense of the others on the speedways.

less than 5% of vehicle accidents are unavoiable as per those who investigate such things, 95% are due to the nut behind the steering wheel.

Not many avanza taxi meters on the island. If hes the one i see quite often day time then he is a compelte lunatic doing illegal uturns without looking, tailgaiting behind people that are already tailgaiting, changing lanes without looking, etc etc.

Ong-arj Kamrueng crashed into the electricity pylon after falling asleep at the the wheel.

PHUKET: -- A Phuket taxi driver was charged with reckless driving yesterday (Jan 21) after falling asleep at the wheel and crashing into an electricity pylon while on his way to Phuket International Airport.

Thalang Police and Kusoldham officers were sent to the scene of an accident near the Suan Pa Bangkanoon U-turn at Moo 5 Thepkrasattri Rd to find Ong-arj Kamrueng, 32, sitting near his vehicle. He had suffered minor injuries to his face so was taken to Thalang Hospital for treatment.

Pol Lt Col Sanich Nukong of Thalang said, “Ong-arj was on his way to the airport to start work. He fell asleep and lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the electricity pylon.

We've had the "slippery-road" excuse. Also the "too-sunny" excuse. Wonder what the excuse is here ?

Besides being a dumbass, looks like he'll go with a couple of conflicting excuses to confuse people. Either he "lost control" or he fell asleep, he's not sure which one to go with ATM.
