Set up something with a bank in my home county that will wire me the 40K funds into my

Thai bank account every month guaranteed. (I will place the full amount with the bank)

Then use this documentation as the basis for my declaration AND show to Thai immigration?

Immigration wants a certification issued by your country’s embassy in Thailand. Therefore, it is your embassy you have to satisfy with your documentation, not the immigration office.

You have a problem ( but odds are very high you won't) do like one guy did at Immigration yesterday; tear the poster off the wall and demanded to see the Immigration Commissioner (After being told the letter from the Embassy was not sufficient proof of a pension)
