The fate of OTOP project will be known after the government policy is completed

Deputy Minister of Interior Banyat Chansena <บัญญัติ จันทน์เสนะ> said the ministry has not yet discussed the future of the One Tambon One Product project, or 'OTOP', but the policy should be clearer after the draft government policy has been completed.

As to a proposal to transfer the OTOP project which is currently under the responsibility of the Department of Community Development to other departments, the deputy minister said he would consult the matter with Minister of Interior Aree Wong-araya (อารีย์ วงศ์อารยะ) first.

The deputy minister of interior reaffirmed that projects initiated by the previous government would be continued if they prove beneficial, but useless ones would be abolished.
