I want to buy a cheap wood panel to place behind my kitchen worksurface . The idea is when it gets splatterd with fats etc over the years i can lust replace it with another one.

Anyone got an idea about the best place to look and the price.

Ever considered a glass panel ? then you never need to replace it just wipe clean.

Most modern western style kitchens have this now at the back of the hob.

Plenty of cabinet makers, window and door makers all along Theprasit road on both sides top to bottom. They could do a job for you.

Sheets of plywood, MDF, hardboard (HDF), Viva board, in 2.4 x 1.2 mtr sizes in all the usual DIY stores (HomeWorks, Thai Watsadu, HomeMart) and in many of the smaller outlets (e.g.- Pattaya Nua, about 20 mtrs from Sukhumvit road - lots of others around Pattaya).

The smaller places will usually cut it to size for you for a very small fee - some will sell half a sheet or less if you ask.

If memory serves me correctly, around 600 baht for a sheet of 4mm plywood (not marine ply) from Thai Watsadu.
