First few days in Thailand at work

Featured Replies

Mine were 1994, splicing fibre cable outside Asok/Din Deang telephone exchange from 22:00pm at night. I can remember dashing to the 7/11 (didn't have them where I was born/lived) often for hotdogs for some reason and getting a 7/11 calendar that shows date for many many years which I still have. Got a few locals staring down the manhole and a few police men curious which was dealt with by local colleagues.

After each shift I had to take the equipment back to base Charn Issara II and getting in the lift rather scruffy meant others cramped into the corner away from me.

Any other member memories?

Regards,

James.d
