Ban Ki Moon dismisses Netanyahu’s “bolstering terrorism” accusation

NEW YORK: -- The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon has not taken his tongue-lashing from Israel’s leader Bejamin Netanyahu lying down.

Netanyahu said Ban’s statement on Tuesday deploring the continued expansion of Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian territory would “only bolster terrorism”.

“Let me be clear, nothing excuses terror. Nothing justifies the targeting of innocent people. I condemn all such acts categorically. If we hope to see an end to this violence, security measures will not be enough. We must address the underlying frustration and failure to achieve a political solution,” said Ban Ki Moon on Thursday.

Netanyahu went further, saying the UN had “long ago lost its neutrality and moral power”.

The government has just approved the building of 150 new homes near Jericho on fertile agricultural land currently worked by Palestinian farmers. It is the latest in a succession of building projects on land international law says belongs to the Palestinians. Each new settlement makes any future Palestinian state a little less unitary and smaller, and raises tension further.

Netanyahu: "By criticising our continued illegal expansion, and you bolster terrorism".

Mr Ban: "I deplore terrorism".

Pussyfooting around it again Mr Ban.

Tell it like it is" What a load of "we are victims" trash you talk Mr Netanyahu! Stop committing international crimes and you will stop receiving criticism!"

Israeli's motto: (deleted) Everyone Else -- Only We Matter.

I'm sure it would take a lot of imagination to replace the deleted word.

Absolutely, and you're a 100% right there, Israel motto is if we don't protect ourselves, no one else will,

So yes, fluk everyone else and fluk the horse they ride in on, as long as they intend to harm Israel.....

Now take Obama speech from few days ago where he said that attacks against Jews are on the rise just because they're Jews and they're forced to flee Europe from groups of people trying to harm them, and what Bak Ki Moon is doing about it?

big Nothing, only talks and accusations of Israel........

Israel has certainly been correct about that and in recent years the UN "Human Rights Council' have been especially hypocritical about stabbing Israel in the back regularly. Netanyahu has it absolutely right.

Moderate Israelis had better deal with the radical Zionists before it is too late.

Live within your '67 borders and rejoin the civilized world.

The relentless expansion of illegal settlements will lead to a single state where Jews are a despised minority.

The dream of Eretz Israel will turn into a nightmare.

Protecting themselves and their right to exist is one thing, encroaching and confiscating land being farmed by Palestinians is another.

Seems they are both right.

Ban criticises Netanyahu's policy of ethnic cleansing in the West bank as unhelpful in the cause of peace. Ban knows Netanyahu does not give a s*** about it and will never negotiate with the arabs in good faith..

"Netanyahu went further, saying the UN had “long ago lost its neutrality and moral power”." The UN has no practical value - handicapped by the whims of the permanent members of the Security Council, who also don't give a s*** unless something is in their own national interests. To them Netanyahu is a role model.
