dirtycash Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 just hitting on a business plan. where is best to source beef and pork ribs, mince, etc. makro or local thai farmer or local market and what is difference in prices say for a kilo of beef ribs in makro to a kilo of beef ribs from a local farmer. , or a kilo of fillet steak from either farmer or makro. i imagine there would be a significant saving if buying local . i can buy big freezer to store. any advice greatly appreciated.
lovelomsak Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Local market, but take your digital scales with you.Order ahead and get decent discounted price.Farmer will probably sell you the whole pig what will you do with that. I have found the big name stores are not a good deal most of the time .The problem with local market is the use of their scales. Everything is close enough kind of thing. Take a digital scale and weigh everything on it
Turkleton Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Makro, definitely. No need to bring you own scale. Prices seem to be similar (except the few percent the local market dealers put on top because of their, lets say "optimistic" scales)
