Fire Destroys Three Traditional Thai Houses in Nong Khai
Picture and video from responders. A fierce fire has consumed three traditional Thai wooden houses in Nong Khai, with authorities suspecting the cause to be an electrical short circuit. The blaze was reported at 08:30 on September 27, by Police Lieutenant Jakrapong Tongtaem of the Nong Khai Provincial Police Station. The fire occurred at a residence located behind Jang Sawang Market in Nong Kom Ko subdistrict, Nong Khai City. Authorities, including Police Colonel Yuttana Ngamchat and firefighters from the local subdistrict and municipal fire departments, were quickly dispatched to the scene. The fire engulfed a traditional Thai-style wooden house, owned by Mr. Thanet (surname withheld), located at No. 279, Village 8, Nong Kom Ko. At the time of the incident, only his brother, Mr. Thanakorn (surname withheld), was at home. The property consisted of three adjacent Thai-style wooden houses, and the flames spread rapidly, consuming all three homes. Firefighters worked for about an hour to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighbouring properties. According to reports, Mr. Thanakorn was resting when the fire started. Local residents spotted smoke billowing from the house and shouted warnings. Mr. Thanakorn rushed out and attempted to extinguish the flames with water, but his efforts were in vain. He then called for help. Initial investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit, potentially due to rainwater seeping into an outdoor electrical socket. The exact extent of the damage has yet to be assessed, and authorities will conduct a more thorough investigation to determine the precise cause of the fire. Officials are warning the public to take extra precautions with electrical outlets, particularly ensuring they do not get wet in the rain, as this could lead to similar dangerous incidents. -- 2024-09-28 RPReplay_Final1727421046.mp4 -

Volunteer Non-Immigrant O Visas
No, there is no specific income ceiling requirement for the Non-Immigrant O (Volunteer) visa in Thailand. The primary focus is on ensuring that the applicant is genuinely volunteering for a non-profit organization or government agency and is not seeking employment. However, it's important to note that you may need to provide proof of sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in Thailand. This could include bank statements or other financial documents. The exact amount required may vary depending on the individual circumstances and the length of your stay. -

Pattaya Cracks Down on Illegal Immigrants to Protect World-Class Tourist Image
World class tourist image?? Perhaps it is "world class" for those more aligned with Gary Glitter's, (Paul Gadd), and Jimmy Saville's idea of world class 'quality'! 🤔🫣🤐🤫 -

Mother of Five Dies After Brazilian Butt Lift in UK, Sparking Calls for Urgent Ban
RIP. Five children by an entirely unnecessary medical procedure, the demand for which is driven by the promotion for profit of cosmetic surgery. Undoubtedly an outcome that is left to the NHS to deal with. As so often, privatized profits, socialized costs.- 1
