Where To Get A New Multi-entry Non Im B Visa?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone - sorry if this might have been covered in the middle of topics and threads, but I've searched and can't find any up-todate info.

I'm just about to finish my first Non Im B visa. I'm gainfully employed (work permit - pay tax) and I've just heard that Penang isnow only issuing 90 day visas (correct me if I'm wrong!)

If I have to renew my visa (and also preseumably my work permit?) every 90 days, then I'm going to end up with zero wages.

Where's the nearest friendly country where I can get a multiple entry non im B visa? (one year)

Any advice on the best way to get there and places to stay while my application is being sorted?

Many thanks,

Rob

ps - I have a UK passport.

Hi again

I've phoned Penang and KL and can confirm that Penang is not offering ANY multi entry visas of any kind - Tourist or Non Im.

LK DOES do a Non Im B Multi - but only for a person with a current work-permit - it appears that they are not interested in whether you have paid tax, but the this remains to be seen to be seen when I get there!

thanks for all the help

As of Tuesday they did care as someone only had one month of PND #1 and was not able to get the multi entry visa in KL.

The only exception, if you are working for a natural person employer ( not a company) than you do not need to show any proof of tax paid, just the work permit.

Many thanks to Sunbeltasia and to Greg, who had no financial reason to phone me or help me.

Just to expand - if anyone else needs to know this..

The PND #1 is a document which your employer has.

It details all his employees , what they earn and the tax they pay.

It is possible that your employer might not be too keen on you knowing this - but if you want a 12 mont Non Im B visa (ONJLY FROM KL) your employer must give you this to submit for your application.

You need all the usual company papers and a CURRENT work permit too.

And then ( I hope - cos I'm going to do it in 4 days time) the multi-entry visa should be as easy as falling off a bargirl.

Wink!

Rob

You are welcome. Thanks for the warm words, it is much appreciated.

Best of luck in "KL."
