Hi all, I hope someone can answer my question, My wife and I yesterday were looking for the documents required for her

FLRM UK Application which is due next month, We cant find her original Thai passport, It was sent in the folder when we applied for her Settlement Visa, Yesterday was the first time we had a real look into that folder and we think it was not returned, We have a copy of the Birth Certificate and a notarised English translation, Do you think that this will be alright for when we apply for the new Visa?. Thanks in advance.

Am I missing something here, if you think your wife's passport wasn't returned to her following her application for a settlement visa, how did she make it to the UK without her passport?

My wife doesn't have a birth certificate, so nothing was included with her original settlement visa application in 2013 or her recently successful FLR application.

If you look at Section 13 - Documents of the application form you will see that the applicant's birth certificate is not required.

When I looked at the checklist page 73 in the flrm application form it says birth certificate/s, maybe this is for children of applicants, Thanks for the replies

Yes, that's for children only. But worth noting that it's required whether the children are part of the application or not.
