Google Chrome Problems for a few Weeks?

Featured Replies

Sawasdee khrap,

I'd like to know if that also happened to others that Google completely lost track. First it started on my PC at home, then on my notebook when my son was using it.

Around twenty webpages tried to open, then no one would open and other bs.

I' deleted Google, including all files in the registry and elsewhere, just to find out that the culprit came back?

That went on for about a week and all is back to normal. Any idea what the problem could have been? Tiny ghosts perhaps?

Thanks for any answers. Cheers- wai2.gif

Google Chrome collect and store a lot of data, so when you reinstall Chrome your browser start work better.

Yes, I've had some problems with Chrome. The first time I try to start it after waking or restarting my computer it's really sluggish and sometimes freezes. Usually takes two or three attempts. Once it's running it seems to be OK after that.

I thought the problems with Chrome and a few other things started after a Windows 10 update.

What were the web pages that tried to open?

Possibly some malware from some site that was visited. My Chrome has been fine.

Are you booting down your computer without first closing any open websites? If you are, each time you open your browser it will try to reopen the last websites you had open.

It should prompt you before doing that.

  • 2 weeks later...

I ran Intel's driver update utility and found my graphics driver needed updating. That's helped with a number of Windows 10 and Chrome issues I've had.

Many problems too with chrome since some weeks . I read that the last version has many bugs

Click on the menu icon (three horizontal bars).

Help, About Google Chome.

Let it update.

Restart.

Then do a bloody good virus scan because if your browser is opening web pages without being asked, the chances are you have an infection of some sort.
