A man listed on Interpol for drug crimes in South Korea was arrested in Siem Reap early yesterday morning, police confirmed. Police say they arrested Shin Joungchul in Siem Reap’s Svay Dangkum commune early yesterday morning following an Interpol red notice from South Korean authorities first made in November 2014.

“It’s the order from Deputy National Police Commissioner Mok Chito to arrest him because there’s a red notice from Interpol in Korea that he committed drug crimes overseas,” Oum Amra, deputy police chief in Siem Reap, confirmed yesterday.
