Not many things better than cooked frog legs. And they don't taste like chicken.

Will the course also include details of how to appeal for govt help, subsidies etc if the ' crop ' fails or the sale price drops ?

But don't frogs need water ?

Oooh. If I was close by, I would jump at that opportunity.

Course application rejected now hop it.

Are we then going to advertise big to the french with cheap flights to come and experience the chilli and coconut leg dish, served with a platter of kung on banana leaf fritter,

i am all for small enterprise , and i guess the frogs will be sold in weight , we already have plastic rice , i just hope that any possibility of any toads extra weight does not find its way into the mix,

We farm frogs and I can tell you all are quality produce. In fact we have been rated by the government as a "Smart Farm". Water quality, frog flesh and fish flesh were all thoroughly tested for chemicals and quality. The farm was also inspected for quality of breeding areas. It can be a good little earner for the locals. Cannot retire on it but is ok. As for water use there is a bit as the frogs require dilay water change and cleaning in the tiled cement ponds. This is only about 2 inches in depth so not much. Once they are bigger and in nets in the ponds then it is ok. Just a pump and fountain for aeration is enough. We do change about 10% of the pond water weekly.

According to a report I read here just days ago, there is a massive shortage of skilled labour in Thailand. Only about 30% of the workforce are actually qualified for the jobs they are doing.

In light of that, helping people to become qualified frog farmers is certainly a very important initiative for the national economy. Expect massive FDI from France shortly!

Frog farming... REALLY!?

Dear friend;

This is Alireza Ebadi from Iran. I'm interested in frog farming and exporting frog products. I want to start this business in north of Iran where we have a good climate situations and environment for breeding frog.

Is it possible to make a discussion with you in order to help us to establish and operate a frog farm in Iran?

You can cooperate with us as a consultant or partnership.

Please note that we have economical access to European countries for exporting products and hence shipment or other costs are lower than your side. my email address: <<<<Email removed as per forum rule>>>>

Ah should have guessed this thread would spawn a series of puns. I'm not despondent about it though.

Will this course be augmented by the French?

Thanks for that information.

It is interesting to compare the posts from farangs who have made a life for themselves here to those who haven't.

Nothing wrong with levity and humour as long as they are balanced by informative posts like this.
