CDC to welcome public opinion over draft charter for another month

BANGKOK, 9 February 2016 (NNT) - The Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC) Chairman has said the commission will continue to accept feedback regarding the draft charter for another month, due to some misunderstandings and dissenting opinions.

CDC Chairman Meechai Ruchuphan had been referring to rumors that the draft charter contains more sections than the 1997 and 2007 charters, as well as rumors that additional sections will result in a “dead end” for Thai politics.

The CDC Chairman has denied these rumors, stating that the draft charter contains only 17 sections, the same number as the 2007 Constitution. However, he added that several clauses regarding national reform have currently been left blank, as the National Reform Steering Assembly and the Cabinet have not finished deliberating these provisions.

The CDC will spend another month collecting public feedback to improve upon the current draft, as well as clarify its content to the public. The draft charter is expected to be completed on March 29.

I love it...

Meechai is pretending that the issue is how many sections the draft charter has... Really?

These guys are too stupid to be believed....

They could hold sessions at Jurassic Park - Khun Meechai is, after all, a dinosaur and the document is designed to enshrine the ancient past when predators ruled the land.
