Shipping Australian online purchases to Thailand

Featured Replies

I have some small items I want on eBay that are in Australia but a couple of the sellers will only ship to an Australian mailing address. I did a search and found a service from sosmail that is similar to the ShipItTo service in America where you purchase online, consolidate the packaging with the third-party shipper and have them send to Thailand. Anyone have experience with these Australian guys or any similar services that can be recommended?

Thanks!

You are aware of the thai Customs ad GST charges? Sorry I do not know about this company. I thought I should warn you if you did not know the customs treatment here.

Try "Pack and send" ...a subsiduary of TNT.

It's getting very difficult to get anyone overseas to send stuff to Thailand anymore.....I have found. They are polite when you ask if they do, but after all the talk...they usually decline.... Mainly because they never know what to charge for the HIDDEN costs...Plus you better brace yourself with the charges this end..

Outrageous and uncalled for !!!.

Just double the price you purchased the item for, and that's somewhere in the ballpark....IF you ever received the item...

Havent had that problem before....but because of what goes on this end i rarely get anything sent in anymore....why bother?

Mowers priced here, at twice the price of "new" overseas....AND!!! they are second hand worn out crap!...Why try to help people this end get rich overnight?

So you don't know anyone in australia? Maybe post a job on airtasker and they can recieve and send internationally via aus post

These items are small car parts like a toggle switch and a couple of connectors; probably about 65 bucks for the lot. I seriously doubt that Thai Customs will want anything. This is based on their total lack of interest in my quarterly mail order cigar shipment from Hong Kong.

Looks like TNT's subsidiary is a rip-off, thanks for that.

I have a buddy in Oz right now but he's headed back here in a couple of days so I missed that option. There's an old girlfriend down in Margaret River though...

Thanks for the airtasker idea.

Without checking the specifics online, since TNT is a courier company like DHL and FedEx, maybe they're just charging their market rates? That's why I am looking at the international mail options after a local purchase and delivery. Looks like sosmail's 'personal shopper' option has a $40 surcharge. Posted on airtasker for $50... no takers so far.

Maybe the old girlfriend gets a Valentine's bouquet after all.
