good used ute

Featured Replies

Hi,

i am wanting to buy a good used ute, dual cab, i have seen quite a few in the yards, but i fall over at the prices, i would like to find one that has been owned by a farang, i am aussie, would be good if it was up around chang-mia, prefer auto diesel, and one that has good paint no accidents.

thanks in advance eddie.

Second hand prices are still very high in Thailand...just as they were in Oz. There are various reasons for this but the fact it is a national thing meams that you are buying into a more or less level playing field and will also get a relatively high price when you sell.

Paint is seldom a problem on pickups even over 10 years. If the paint is bad, I'd suggest you give it a wide berth.

Remember - pickups are relatively simple vehicles and even major repairs in Thailand are refreshingly cheap....no $100 per hour labour charges here......yet.

So long s you hae the blue registration book with your name on it you should be fine.

BTW - the vast majority of people who own vehicles in Thailand are Thai - so excluding tem from your scope is dramatically reducing your choice of vehicle.
