OAG to inspect fertilizer purchase project nationwide

BANGKOK, 11 February 2016 (NNT) - Office of Auditor General (OAG) Governor Pisit Lilawachirophas randomly inspected a fertilizer purchase project in six districts of Kalasin province.

Some officials who were found to have inappropriately supported the purchase of organic fertilizers at a more expensive price than usual will be prosecuted by law.

The OAG governor added that the Kalasin tour prompted the Provincial Offices of Auditor General nationwide to inspect and suppress misconducts, which would likely continue to damage the country if they were not stopped.

So they will force people to use Monsanto poison. Taking a kick back.

After living in the Kalasin province all these years I am confident there will be many names added to the 100 corrupt officials list after this investigation.

Some officials who were found to have inappropriately supported the purchase of organic fertilizers at a more expensive price than usual will be prosecuted by law.

Since they are officials, I believe that OAG may only seek public compensation from the officials if there was corruption in the sales. Otherwise, officials would be investigated by the NACC who can seek to remove them from office and banned from election. This was dual prosecurial process was used to investigate official corruption in connection with Yingluck's rice pledge program.

If NACC finds cause to prosecute the officials, then it should follow as it did with Yingluck to also prosecute the Prayut regime leadership for establishing what it shold have realized was a flawed program that would attract corruption. Conversely, OAG would then charge the Prayut regime leadership for compensation as is being done with Yingluck.

But equality of justice may find itself on a one-way street in NCPO's roadmap.

Considering the scope of corruption by government officials, the OAG should be in the news, announcing a new investigation EVERY DAY. They are not, and that is a pity.
