Until the foreign embassies have to give a travel warning.

The warnings have been there for years, not least because of many previous accidents inc two involving the very same boat in both 2005 & 2012:

This clip described by the uploader as a boat taxi popped up while looking for the above:

thank. It's a proof how incompetent this govt. is. Now they have the power but using it (not only) for surveillance of foreigners....

glad no one killed.

lets hope the Chinese tell all their friends about their "vacation" in Thailand.

imagine what would happen if the Chinese Govt. would give a travel warning......(they should do just to open PM's eyes..)

Contrary to what seems to be popular belief .... I can say that both Lomlahk and Grandsea Adventure tour boats are very well maintained.... I don't know about the other companies... but these are two I would trust...thumbsup.gif

Daily inspections of engines.... Yearly painting and if necessary re-fiberglassed as required....

To become a captain it's takes one year of supervised training.... whether Thai or Burmese captains ....

another load of passengers arriving back from the Marine park today... at Grandsea Tours Soi 1, Maenam....thumbsup.gif

The larger boats are licenced to carry 32 passengers...(that is sometimes spot checked too by Marine department ) they have 3 x 250 outboard motors ... smaller boats have 225 engines....

Two of the above relate to the mayhem... or more appropriate word "lunacy" surrounding the Full Moon Party when it seems anyone with anything that will float is out to make a few bucks.
