‘It’s just not true’ – Russia rejects claims that it’s bombing civilians in Syria

Featured Replies

Wow. What a lie. If you drop a bomb on terrorists, the possibility of hitting a civilian is extremely probably.

Craig. This line is subliminally brilliant.

It is 100% correct, but goes against your postings of yesterday extolling the virtues of Western bombing causing next to no. or very little collateral damage.

Unless the West are bombing anthills in the middle of the desert, then every single bomb they drop will be causing collateral damage. Regardless of what the press says.

i know Craig personally and can vouch that he is basically a very nice and very educated chap. but when it concerns Putin, the evil Russian empire or "them" commies in China he can't help it presenting the political correct view a citizen of The Greatest Nation on Earth™ is bound to.

5555 As you also know, I've hardly spent any time over the past 15 years in the US. A few months here and there caring for my Father. I'm a citizen of the world, with no real intentions of going back. I'm just against dictators who treat their citizens poorly. Sadly, we've got way too many around the world now.

As I said in the post you replied to, it is Assad's country, and his decision how he solves issues inside his country, nothing the west ( read US ) has to do with it.

BINGO!

because we all know what happened in countries after the "west" got involved.

what happened to the old White House wisdom "we know he's a bastard, but he is our bastard"?

Something like the enemy of my enemy is my friend? LOL

All of you are NUTS! Syrian civilians have been returning to Syria thanks to Putin obliterating ISIS!

Before you attack the source, keep in mind other reputable news outlets have been reporting the same!...

Sorry, I think I was temporarily hacked by a Kremlin Troll. :)

If you think the world should stand by while a dictator murders his own people by the tens of thousands, then you have lost all humanity.

Actually, I have found that is a common view among Russians. I remember debating a Russian colleague about Milosevic and the genocide in Bosnia. He told me it was no one's business because Milosevic had the right to do whatever he wants in his own country. Another Russian friend excused Saddam for the same reason.

It's a difficult thing. Step in and help the abused population. Or stand by and watch them get killed. By a dictator. Not a democratically elected official. Call me soft. I vote for helping the poor and innocent. At least do the best you can.

The Russian government is really good. They've got the propaganda angle down perfect. Sadly, many get suckered in and believe it. Too funny!
