Stupid story, but why does it have to be said that he is an aristocrat, a silver-tail. Does it make him more believable ? Monks at the "rally" were physically assaulting and pushing the male soldiers also they were pushing vehicles out of the way that had been placed to disallow vehicle access. That probably wouldn't have happened if the first line had been women as Monk's cannot touch a lay woman.

As my Thai friends tell me, there were a lot of ppl dressed up as monks in that crowd. They're laymen , their brows and heads unshaven.

What this demonstration with the police and army showed me is, that Wat Dhammakaya is in bad need of some of Prayuts brand of intermission. Peaceful demonstrations I can understand, fighting with the police and army is not on the agenda. These monks are really worried that their beloved abbot is in trouble if this abbot from Wat Paknam is not made the Supreme Patriarch.

I found it: 15 February.. So they SHOULD have all been baby smoooth!
