Bangkok Airways flight postponed due to 'bomb' scare
Phuket Gazette

BANGKOK: -- Panic ensued on a Bangkok Airways flight when cabin crew feared a bomb threat after overhearing a conversation between a group of passengers yesterday afternoon.

Staff on Bangkok Airways flight PG 924 from Bangkok to Phuket reported that prior to take-off, four passengers on the flight were overheard talking about ‘explosions’ with each other, said Sirote Duangratana, the general manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport.

“As a precaution, all 156 passengers, eight crew members and their luggage were evacuated. The plane was taken to an isolated parking spot to be checked,” said Mr Sirote.

Officials deployed explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technicians, security officers, firefighters, rescue staff and medical personnel to the scene.

Let's listen in:

"Yeah, this girl I met in Bangkok was like 'you want boom boom right now?"

"Then what did you say?"

"I was like, bring on the boom boom right this minute!"

"Was it a really big boom boom?"

"Oh yeah, like the size of this whole plane!"

"Cool!"

Over inflated story.....A band member was wondering if the pressure change in the aircraft would damage his bass drum.....causing it to explode. Not choice words, but not as bad as it sounds.

total over the top reaction to an innocent comment useing the thai word for burst/puncture....these idiots (FLIGHT ATTENDANTS) are to blame for so many delays.

How the he_ll can you get anything explosive onto a flight now-a-days its all x-rayed..they can even spot a 160ml bottle of liquid for pitys sake ...guess the drum was just too much as it must have been packed with C4 blink.png

Your choice:

1] A lot of flights get delayed for a couple of hours, mostly for unneeded extra searches.

2] All flights leave on time. However, about once a week one explodes mid-air.

"The passengers in question, including a pram (Hindu monk), had brought a steel box containing a conch and small drum in their hand luggage. Prior to take-off one the assistants of the pram was overheard saying that the box might ‘ra-berd’ if they weren’t careful while handling it, confirmed Col Kittipop Chompoonuch of the Suvarnabhumi Airport Police.

Ra-berd is a Thai word which means to explode or burst, which caused the crew to panic and report the incident to the pilot, Col Kittipop explained."

Hmm...

This scare looks like more of a Kai Raberd or “exploded egg” on their face.

Cant. Stop. Laughing

And if they hadn't done the right thing in terms of safety and conforming to international law the barstool commandos would be the first hypocrites online... Just look at the garbage in the majority of the comments so far - Jdietz excepted.
