We import regularly from Europe->Thailand. Volume about 3 euro-pallet every 2 months.

Currently we are looking for a Customs Clearing Agent, sea freight, Laem Chabang who has excellent connections to the customs department.

A note of caution ... I used a reputable shipping agent in NZ when I shipped a 40ft container over .... on a door to door contract...

Once the container arrived in BKK I was advised by telephone... and informed by their agent here that I needed to pay an additional 20,000 bht in cash.... It was ready for customs clearance and delivery to Chaing Mai.... in order for it not to be held up and "inspected"...causing inevitable delays and would also require my physical presence in BKK...also, I'd have to pay for additional storage and the inspection myself and for the labour required to unpack and check it...and repack it... All taking time and at my expense...
