I have a work permit all in order and had a 1 year Non-O visa last year based on my work permit.

Now it will expire at end of March and need another 1 year extension I presume.

Now what is the general going rate that reliable agents charge for all this including all paperwork needed for it.

I am currently with an agent dealing with it and got quoted what looks to me a high charge?

Just trying to find out what the general approximates would be out there.

Do it yourself.

Forget the agent and save a stack of money.

Visas re never extended.

Why is your employer not providing the support required to obtain the extension of stay ?

As said, this is an extension of stay and NOT an extension of a non immigrant "O".... It seems to be a trend all this. Have seen billions of times people who always refer "extension of stay" and call it a Retirement-VISA or a Mariage-VISA.... Now today the trend seems to be, 3 threads in a row, to call extension of stay,, just extension of the VISA....

It is so easy to understand, why do not people bother to learn more???...

In my poinion, if you are paying an agent 100 thb, you are paying too much!

The system is simple and very easy to take care of all by yourself.

Unless you are too important , too busy and have money to burn...

Agents are a waste of money.

If you are a teacher in Thailand, you do not have money to burn.

I no, cause I were a English teacher hear four yeers!

thanks for all the opinions and thoughts and they are all appreciated though can anyone just stick with the topic and inform on what the going rate is for agents charging to get me the extension of stay.

Reason of the agent is that it is my own company and the same agent is doing all the rest of my paper work which till now seem to have been priced as average though it seems like the extension of stay is suddenly over charged? thus please anyone who had it dont previous by an agent and what was the cost charged to you?

Do not know the going rate just now, cause competition escalates... But one thing though.. If you just need help for the practical work, and all papers are legitim, than it doesnt have to be too expensive.

But if you are looking for, as so many do, for illegal dealing with unlawful paperwork just to get an extension of stay, than you can bet ya that it is much much more expensive...
