Accident Man Dies After Driving Off Closed Bridge into Canal in Nakhon Si Thammarat
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A 51-year-old man has died after his pickup truck plunged into a canal in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, following a fatal error in which he mistakenly drove over a closed off part of a bridge, which was under going construction work. The incident occurred at approximately 20:30 evening of 17 July. Police Lieutenant Sakdanan Duangyotha of Tha Sala Police Station received a report of a pickup truck falling from a bridge spanning the Klai River in Moo 2, Sakaeo Subdistrict, Tha Sala District. Emergency services, including senior officers and rescue personnel, rushed to the scene where they discovered a Isuzu pickup overturned in more than a metre of water beneath the bridge. Inside the partially submerged vehicle was the unconscious body of the driver, Mr. Bamrung aged 51. Rescue workers managed to extract him and performed CPR before transporting him urgently to Nopphitam Hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Preliminary investigations suggest that the bridge was undergoing repairs and was partially closed to traffic at the time. Witnesses told police that Mr. Bamrung was attempting to overtake another vehicle and apparently failed to notice that the bridge ahead was incomplete and partially impassable and coned off. While the vehicle ahead made it safely, Mr. Bamrung’s truck veered into the construction zone, careened off the edge and plunged into the canal. Authorities confirmed that appropriate warning signs and barricades were in place, but visibility may have been limited during the nighttime hours. The victim’s family has not raised any suspicions about the cause of death. After a post-mortem examination, the body was released to the family. Adapted by Asean Now from Khaosod 2025-07-19 -

Can someone explain the allure of pattaya to me?
When I went to pattaya for the first time last month i was ...extremely suprised....to see quite a few mini groups of european girls exploring walking around (not just russian but other nationalities also) on their own You would think Pattaya is the last place on the itinerary of a group of european girls would want to visit in thailand Didn't see the appeal personally, and I would be ashamed to live there, a lot of indians and attracts the worst type of people and criminals Somewhere like Ko samui or phuket is so much better -
