wifi options in a public hospital

Featured Replies

I have to be admitted to a public hospital for a few days and presume that they might not have wifi. I recently reduced my dtac phone package to bare minimum bc we got 3bb fibre optic put on at home.

Thus, am I able to buy a voucher from 7 eleven that can be used anywhere- where there is a signal?

thanks

Many hospitals in Thailand have wi-fi.

Even our local hospital here in Banphai has wi-fi. I know i have used it .

Go on 3bb website they have a plan for 99baht a month, once you have registered they take 25 baht a week out of your mobile phone credit, you can do with a is or dtac or true your choice.

Check with the hospital first to see if they have wifi for patients and then when you are admitted get a user name and password

Usually the only restrictions is that most public wifi don't connect to LINE

Go to the area of the hospital that you will be staying in ,

then check in "settings" on your smart phone / tablet what Wifi signals you can get,

if its the Hospital try and sign in , if its DTAC , True , AIS then see which seems to have the best signal and do the 99 baht a month option ,

the signal will not be the same all over the hospital so with luck you will be in an area that it is strong

I would never depend on shared or public WiFi..especially when it is so easy to purchase a data package or even a new SIM for a one off package.

If you are a very heavy user, 52.5 baht per day gets you 3GB per day with AIS. Just an example.
