What to do?

Featured Replies

Dear TV guys and gals, I have a predicament and need your advice;

I arrived here in January and enjoyed my break from working in Saudi Arabia so much that I extended my holiday for another 30 days at Jontiem immigration.

It is now almost time for me to leave, but I'm starting a new job in May in Bangkok.

What's my plan of action here?

1 - Border run to cambodia and back each month till I can get my work visa papers from the school?

2 - Fly out and in again and extend for another 30 days, this time at Chaeng Wattana?

3 - Fly to Vientienne and get myself a SETV to stay for 60 days and extend if necessary?

Does any of these cause problems when applying for work visa?

What do you recommend?

The SETV is the best option and can be repeated if necessary.

If the school is on the ball there should be no problem with paperwork. Remind them that they have to apply for the WP. Without the letter accepting the WP application a "B" visa is unobtainable in the region.

But will I get any issues getting a SETV after the 60 days ive spent here?
