February 26, 201610 yr Hi there, I am having an old Ipad 2 which has version 4.3.3 and I would like to upgrade the version to the latest possible. But I am stucked with it and I dont know how to do it or is it even possible? Any ideas? Thank you again for your valuable info.... Cheers J
February 26, 201610 yr First you want to make sure that you are connected to a decent wifi service. Then go to Settings > General > Software Update. It should then check to see which update is available for you iPad. Follow instructions from there. Be aware that depending on how much storage you have available might prevent you updating if there is not much space. Also latest updates might slow your ipad a bit.
February 26, 201610 yr One thing do you have enough space second it it has to do tethered up grad as 4 is before you could do air up grade.
February 26, 201610 yr Many of the features from iOS 9 are not available on the iPad 2 It was confirmed on June 8, 2015, at Apple's WWDC that the iPad 2 would support iOS 9. This makes the iPad 2 the first iPad and only iOS device to support six major versions of iOS. As with previous releases, though, many headline features are unavailable on the iPad 2, including predicative Siri, translucency effects, split-view, slide-over and picture-in-picture multitasking, Low Power Mode and the Health app. This is also worth a read Although the A5-based iPad 2 is relatively archaic, showing signs of its age in iOS 8, iOS 9 is said to feature performance improvements that may help the aging device function more smoothly, and initial tests suggest that it did not significantly impact available space. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPad_%282nd_generation%29 Ps: And as said check if you have enough space available ! Edit: If you can't download the new iOS OTA, then you can always download iTunes on your Computer and upgrade it that way
