received non immigrant o visa what papers do I need next ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have just received a 3 month non immigrant O visa in Penang in order to get a 1 year marriage visa in Phuket. Can someone please let me know the following:

- One of the requirements for getting a 1 year marriage visa is that you need to have 400000 baht in a Thai bank account for 2 months is that correct?

- Is it then ok to apply for the 1 year marriage visa when there is only 1 month left on the 3 month non immigrant visa that I have been given?

- Does the Thai bank account that I put the 400000 baht on need to be untouched and only have this money on it,or can I use it for other transactions as long as there is 400000 baht on it at all times?

- What papers do I need to take to the Phuket immigration when applying for the 1 year marriage visa?(I have a son born in Thailand)

- Does my Thai wife need to go too when applying?

Sorry for all the questions, the rules are sometimes changing so I would just like to check everything, thank you for your help,

regards Roger
