Exquisite taste, losing weight in style ! Easier to get here is salmon. I like it pan-fried, inside pink.

But salmon is the worst fish to eat, even tuna is better.

There is no more wild salmon and farm salmon is fed with DDT.

Even Norway tells its people to avoid eating salmon.

Upps, thanks for the unpleasant news.
Alternative is what? Trusting Thai sea or River fish? Keto without fish sounds rathor poor.

There is no alternative, we will die in pain anyway, especially when living in Thailand.

Anyone using the recipes from Tasteaholics.com? They are tempting plus the time to prepare each one is helpful

Tried 2 delicious dishes

1. Smoked salmon finely chopped with onions warmed up in sourcream. For the non-Ketoer add flat noodles.
2. Tunafish salad, corn, cucumber etc. Spiced up with half a spoon wasabi. That's makes the difference.

This one is quite tasty and easy to make. There are dozens, hundreds maybe, others on YouTube.

I would buy it if I could, but finding low carb bread is a challenge ( although Villa Market now stocks "high protein bread" in a couple of brands, expensive at 260 baht for a tiny packet.

plus the high protein bed is not really low carb.

You can get almond flour in Tops in the baking section - 100 baht a bag, which isn't bad.  I buy several bags when I see it and that lasts me awhile.

Also at Makro.

Anyway almond flour is just blended almonds, so if you do not find the flour, buy the almonds and blend it.

Tks Rabitt, advise well taken!

One more= shopping for small quantities is cumbersome. To buy bigger quantities of whatever. which dishes don´t you get easily tired off, can eat frequently?

Posted

Cheese omelettes
Cauliflower cheese

Salad

Bacon with anything

Coffee with butter, MCT oil and cacao (great start to the day!),

We always load up with cheese, bacon,  butter and veggies because we get through a lot. My wife is very inventive in coming up with keto friendly meals.

Cup of coffee with butter, Cacao with MTC ??????

pls enlighten the ignorant  :-) How is that prepared?

A standard "Bulletproof" coffee contains MCT oil (or coconut oil), butter (or ghee) and of  course coffee. I went to a paleo cafe in the UK and they did that with some added cacao powder, delicious!

So, I melt the butter in the microwave, pull a couple of shots of expresso and stick it in a little blender with 2tbs of MCT oil and 1 tbs of cacao powder. Mix it all up and then use the steamer on the coffee  machine to bring the heat back up and give it a nice foamy finish. Plenty of good fat to start the day! You have to blend it together otherwise it can look pretty disgusting!

Has any fellow keto-goer found MCT Oil Powder in Thailand anywhere? (not interested in MCT in Oil form)

Cheers
