RE-entry accross visa extension

Featured Replies

My Retiree visa is due for renewal on Apr 5. I need to go to Cambodia Mar 31 to Apr 8. Can my re-entry be used with 2 different visas??? Do I need to do one on my current visa and one on my future?

Help appreciated

You need to renew your retirement extension before you leave Thailand, then get a new re-entry permit for the new extension.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

No, if you renew your extension of stay you need a new re-entry permit.

Your current re-entry permit will be invalid after your current permit to stay ends.

I assume you have an extension of stay not a visa. When you apply for a new extension you will need to get a new re-entry permit that will be valid for entry until it ends that will replace your old one.

And you can do the extension up to a month before expiry if you have documents/financials ready.

When you have the extension you need the re-entry permit.

You could go from next week.

(assuming your immigration is not one of the few where under consideration period applies even for retirement extension)
