Mega-projects are being inspected by Asset Inspection Panel subcommittee

The Asset Inspection Panel has a resolution to set up a subcommittee to investigate nine big projects of the previous government. The panel will also look into the procurement of land in Ratchadapisek and fire engines for the authority in Bangkok.

Mr. Sak Korsaengreung (สัก กอแสงเรือง), the Spokesman of Asset Inspection Panel, said the projects that will be inspected by the subcommittee include the trading of Shin Corp’s stocks, the loans for purchasing machineries and developing Myanmar by EXIM bank, the procurement of rubber sprouts made by the Department of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the production of special lotto made by the Government Lottery Office, the procurement of CTX machines for Suvarnabhumi Airport, the railway transportation project in Suvarnabhumi by the State Railway of Thailand, and last the Bann Eua-Arthorn Project.

As for the purchases of materials, equipments, companies, agricultural products, and food laboratories made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives under the previous state administration, they are considered as one project. However, the subcommittee has not been set up yet.
