Are there actually TWO separate 30 day renewals available on a single-entry tourist visa?

That's what the US Embassy in Bangkok seems to say here

After arrival in Thailand, a tourist visa may be extended twice, each time for an additional 30 days.

I am guessing that this is an error but please advise if you know for sure.

A 60 day entry from a tourist visa can only be extended once per entry.

That is completely wrong, you cannot get an extension twice on a tourist visa as is the part stating that on a visa exempt entry Americans get 30 days by air and 15 days by land. Americans get 30 days whether by air or land.

The American embassy should know better and be ashamed by posting false information to its own citizens

If you're American I highly recommend you contact them in regards to their error.
