Buses From New Airport To Nong Khai

Featured Replies

It's very hard to connect to the information centre at the new transport hub.

Does anyone know if the Nong Khai buses are actually running yet, and the approximate time of departure -- presumably early evening? Many thanks.

The GF finally managed to contact someone at The Transportation Company (government buses). The service to Nong Khai from Suvarnabhumi airport is NOT yet running, although the airport website claims a service to Nong Khai, plus Pattaya and Aranyaprathet (Rong Gleua, next to Cambodian border).

One piece of good news, though : arriving passengers at Ivanaboomboom airport can take the lift up from floor 2 to 4, cross the first road outside and jump in a taxi. Saves the queues and Baht 50 taxi fee on the arrivals level. Basically the same as good old Don Muang, except you need to cross the first frontage road ... and don't expect Thai drivers to stop at the pedestrian crossings either! Around Baht 265 including tolls to Sukhumvit / Petchaburi area (around Baht 40 more than to Don Muang).

I was at the Nong Khai bus station a week ago, and they had large posters up there showing a big yellow bus from Suvarnabhumi to Nong Khai for 434 Baht. I didn't bother to ask if they were actually running yet or not and didn't notice the time table.

It should be running, and NOT by the transport Borisat Konsong comp.

not that man : just 1/day OVernite.

21.00 FROm airport

20.00 FROm NKhai, to arrive next morning at other end.

But dont worry too much; MANY buses run Suvpoom BUSterminal mto Mochit= ANY bus that comes from the east (rayong, Pattaya, whatever) and has pax FOR SUVpoom, the motorwayexpress routes (all nrd. like 990x) call at airport and Thus have seats, and as you likely know, mochhit has plenty of daily buses to NKhai/Udon etc.

FROM NKhai: get off at RANGSIT FUTURE and use bus 559 (white, yes THIS 1), not slower 554/555, this runs express via the outer new ringroad in some 45/50 mins to Suvpoom=means you get there maybe 15/20 mins later as stay in the bus at Mochit. But then still the white shuttlebus.

(did this yesterday coming from KhonKhaen= comparable, nah?
