Election Commission educates public about new charter

Thammarat Thadaphrom

BANGKOK, 6 March 2016 (NNT) – The Election Commission (EC) is educating members of the public about the new draft constitution while organizing public forums to collect public input on the draft.

Election commissioner Somchai Srisutthiyakorn said the electoral body had come up with several approaches to raise awareness and educate the public about the draft constitution. The EC will publish 1.2 million copies of the complete draft and distribute them to all corners of the country.

Furthermore, it will print 6 million copies of a short and concise version of the draft and distribute them to all communities. The short and concise version will be 20 pages long.

In addition, the commissioner said public forums would be organized in various parts of the nation, giving the public opportunities to voice their opinions on the draft. He said the details of these forums would be announced later on.

Right Nation pay attention and repeat after me,

" everything is perfect " repeat again and once more. "

" That's all you need to know, nation dismissed. "

Is that the same Election Committee that ------ never mind!

it will print 6 million copies of a short and concise version of the draft and distribute them to all communities.

Hopefully the public's response will be short and concise - NO

are they doing this publicly? tongue.png

Is that an EC role? Just stick to organizing election which you are already not doing too well before you take on a new task totally not within your resume. Kissing up to the junta rather than to the people.

Is the EC now being cheap with the public?

"The EC will provide copies of the manuscript to every household by June 20." - EC Deputy Secretary-General Thanit Sriprathet, 2016-01-08

But maybe this means the draft won't be worth the paper it will be printed on.

NO = reason to stay on and start over.

YES = reason to stay indefinitely.

What is the difference?

Have you read the draft?

Or are you basing your decision on the views of certain proven liars who are more worried about themselves than the Thai people?

What is the brief, role and responsibilities of the EC?

You really don't know or you just want help to understand. All stated in the commisiion overview if you care to look at it. Certainly not include educating the junta charter to the public.
