BANGKOK, 7 March 2016 (NNT) - The Constitution Drafting Commission has no plan to adjust the part of the draft charter which is related to the origin of members of parliament and senators during its upcoming retreat yet, according to the commission’s spokesman.

CDC spokesman Udom Ratamarit said that the charter drafters have received a lot of suggestions about the origin of MPs and senators and most of them asked for the rewrite of the principles related to their election processes.

Mr. Udom said that the CDC has not, however, discussed this issue or reached any conclusion. Therefore, no change to the original provisions the charter drafters have prepared will be made yet.

He added that it is likely that the charter drafters will work on the suspending clauses, which relate to the issue.

The CDC spokesman went on to say that the charter drafters are determined to deliver a draft charter that will be widely accepted by the public while noting that the CDC is independent from any influence when it comes to adjusting the draft charter.

Really?

“Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam admitted that the NCPO- and Article 35-supplied framework the CDC worked under limited the panel's independence although he said the drafters were given enough leeway to write what they wanted.” The Nation 2015-10-17

Oh come on, you know they just say whatever pops into their tiny minds at the spur of the moment. You didn't actually think they talked together and came up with a consistant game plan.
