UK passport renewal - 7 months

Featured Replies

Applied for an appointment for my passport renewal was just emailed this

'Your appointment has been arranged for 23th November 2016 at 9.40 hours. ( One appointment is only for one applicant )
This is the earliest appointment that is available. ' which is the expiry date of my passport (lucky I use my Australian one for Visas).

but 7 months is the earliest ! - thought I would post for those interested

That has to be a mistake.

What were the dates you asked for.

It may just be a standard letter and I may have confused them by saying it expires in November

Just had a reply from the British Passport renewal service at the Trendy Buliding, got mine for next Tuesday

Yours must be a mistake

Yeh thanks - I recon you are right

Had a similar issue last year when I asked for an appointment on a date in July and was advised of an appointment for same day but in August.

Pointed out the error in their email and received a quick response with the month corrected to July.

Mistakes happen and just need to send them an email asking for a correction to the initial date.

I guess you worded your email to them incorrectly, got mine recently for the next day

Yet more evidence (if we really needed it) of the perils of the dreaded "With-It Tower Passport Renewal Experience", I think!crazy.gif
